In 1686 his successor Miguel de Ezpeleta requested that the Palace were annotated as Corporal Heraldry in the Regal Books. In 1719 Agustín de Ezpeleta disputed at law the exemption of the added goods. José de Ezpeleta was entitled Conde de Ezpeleta (the count Ezpeleta) by the king Carlos IV in 1797.
In 1895 the Palace passed to be owned by the Padres Blancos (Catholic Order) who in turned passed it in 1910 to the Padres Claretianos (Catholic Order). The Claretianos used it as a seminary hosting up to 200 seminarians.
In 1980 it was bought by individuals intended to exploit the land as a farm for growing vegetables and cattle. The new owners signed a contract in 1988 with Gaztelan, a Charity that started using the palace as an albergue.
