The town of Beire - Palace

The Palace (Currently the Albergue)

Owned by the counts of Ezpeleta, the palace appears as a Corporal Heraldry in the official payroll of the Kingdom. The first date in wich the Palace is named goes back to 1457 when the king Juan II gave it to Bernart deEzpeleta.

In 1548 Sir Miguel de Ezpeleta gained the prerogatives of Corporal Heraldry with the right for the call to Parliament. His successor León de Ezpeleta obtained a favour of a yearly fee of 30.000 maravedis (currency), wich passed to his son Miguel de Ezpeleta in 1596, to Ignacio Antonio de Ezpeleta in 1616 and in 1660 to León de Ezpeleta y Goñi.
